Climbing Bum Blues

It seems I have a case of the bouldering problems! Ha!

Catching a taxi with two bulky bouldering pads was more challenging than I predicted. But after 15 minutes of haggling drivers, we were on our way up to Uqui, in between the quebradas and Gary’s house.

The crew:

Hard (to do), Fun (to watch):

I tried a few of the problems, but instead spent the majority of the morning observing climbing and flailing techniques. My observations were rewarded with at least 20 sand fly bites on my ankles. Fantastic!

Fresh purush (spelling?), straight off the tree. Tangy flavor with a similar texture to maracuya.

The walk back to town. Quinoa, forever.
